Welcome to Makarska, Croatia, unofficial travel guide!

Makarska
Few words about Makarska:

Between cities Brela and Gradac, on the 60 km of endless beaches, coves, pine and olives trees extends Makarska Riviera as one of the most popular Croatian tourist destinations. In the middle of Riviera, in the bottom of the Biokovo (1762), highest Mediterranean mountain lies Makarska, small but extraordinary beautifull town. Placed in a natural cove, guarded from south with two green protectors – peninsulas Osejava and St. Peter, this little town will fascinate you with its magic connection of urban life and town monument.

Natural beauty is accompanied by well prepared tourist offer: beaches, walkways, discotheques, fun fair, diving, sailing, climbing, cycling…and great gastronomic offer in the restaurants as a background of everything.

For your staying, you can chose between numerous private pensions and apartments, modern equipped hotels, and for those who preferred natural atmosphere, there is auto camp Park.

Being near Split, Dalmatian's metropolis well connected with Europe and World puts this Mediterranean pearl “in your neighborhood” no meter what kind of transportation you chose.

We are preparing complete guide to Makarska on this pages. It's projected to be up and running by the IV. quarter 2007.
